Mexican Day of the Dead
Sadly, the Day of the Dead isn’t a holiday we regularly celebrate in this country. While it sounds a little macabre, this annual event – which falls on November 2nd every year – is a load of fun, and sees people dressing up in extravagant costumes which wouldn’t look out of place in a scene from Tim Burton’s “Corpse Bride”.
Creepy skeleton designs are perfectly blended with classy and beautiful costumes, to create one of the most brilliantly odd sights you’re likely to see all year. Death isn’t something we naturally associate with beauty, but the Mexicans have certainly found a way to put a very positive spin on things.
Our Day of the Dead services work perfectly at events like:
- Birthday parties
- Nightmare Before Christmas parties
What’s more, a selection of items and props which CEP already have in their possession, such as piñatas and sombreros, will serve to transform the scene into one which you could be forgiven for forgetting wasn’t actually taking place in Mexico.
Dia de los Muertos, in the native Spanish tongue, is well worth sampling for yourself at some point. Get involved with this traditional festival by making the most of the fantastic services we provide. Don’t leave things too late though, with our make-up artists and performers often getting busy quickly. Avoid missing out by booking ASAP.
