Sometimes what goes into organising and delivering an event can be so all-consuming that you can lose sight of what the original reasons and objectives for hosting the event were in the first place. So here are 5 event planning questions that you can ask yourself about why youโ€™re

  1. What am I hoping to achieve with this event?

    Is it to promote a new product or brand? To increase traffic or footfall to a shop or centre? Perhaps you are looking to position your brand as a thought leader in the industry? Be clear on exactly why you are putting on the event and b

  2. Who am I hosting the this event for?

    Make sure not to lose sight of who the real star of the show is - not the brand responsible for the event - but the consumer or attendee. Design everything with them in mind, from the content to the event speakers - even the format, which will resonate most, a Houseparty or a Zoom call?

  3. How do I want the attendees to feel?

    This gets overlooked and pushed down the priority list - most people concentrate on what theyโ€™ll get from the attendee, rather than what the attendee will get from them.

  4. How can I know if the event was a success?

    What does a successful event look like your brand? Is it maximum turnout? Social media activity and UGC (User-Generated Content)? Product sales? Once you know what youโ€™re aiming for, make sure you have a way to measure this post-event.
